The suit over Easton Oliverson's near-fatal injuries continues in Philadelphia.
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT – Little League says it submitted a purchase order for guard rails for bunk beds a month before the 2022 world series when a Utah player was critically injured when he fell from an upper bed in a dormitory.
The document does not state whether the railings were ordered from the other defendant in the case, John Savoy and Sons. Inc. of Montoursville that does business as Savoy Contract Furniture. Emails released previously by Ken Fulginiti, attorney for the Oliversons, included one from Oct. 5, 2021, in which Savoy provided a quote for mattresses, guard rails and ladders.
Savoy denies allegations the bunk beds were dangerously defective or lacked component parts to be safe.
