The decision means goldfishes in plastic bags, traditionally given as prizes, will not be allowed at fairgrounds in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The new deputy mayor, councillor John Harper, urged the council to “do the sensible thing”, the Local Democracy Reporting Service reported.
