Well, what a disappointment for England yesterday.
BBC Cricket correspondent and ABC commentator Jonathan Agnew described it as "the most disappointing day of the series" on Test Match Special, later writing in his column that England squandered "some of the best batting conditions these players will ever encounter in their entire careers".Joe Root scored runs with Dawid Malan, but that was about it put on 123 runs in the first session - and looked very comfortable doing so it must be said.

England's weary bowlers will now be ground further into the dirt ahead of another back-to-back Test in this congested tour, which is likely why the Australians did not enforce the follow on.The only question really is for how long Australia will bat?
I'd have thought they'd look to keep England out there for at least the first session and likely deep into the second, leaving them the final session, under lights, with the new ball, to rip into the top order and secure the victory that puts them in firm control of this series and well on the way to retaining the Ashes.
