LIVE: 'Chaos' on M56 as Eurovision, roadworks and strikes cause perfect traffic storm
The M56 is 'chaos' this afternoon - with Eurovision, roadworks and strikes leading to motorway misery.Roadworks between junctions 11 and 12, for the demolition of the A533 Expressway Bridge, has seen hundreds of drivers affected.It comes amid rail strikes, which has already affected scores of Eurovision fans heading into Liverpool.
In a tweet, National Highways said: "There are currently delays of approx 40 mins on the #M56 eastbound between J12 to J14 due to planned works taking place between J11 and J12 for the demolition of the #A533 Expressway Bridge."We'll bring you the latest in our live blog below
