Prime Minister Scott Morrison has revealed he sent a text message to the Victorian premier after receiving "concerning" feedback on his plan to extend the State of Emergency.Mr Morrison said he contacted Daniel Andrews to urge him to clarify his announcement around the push to extend restrictions.
" did not understand that that did not mean that the lockdown was going on for another 12 months and urged that there would be clarity given to that."Mr Morrison said he also urged a "cautious approach" be applied when making any further decisions. "We are professional leaders and we deal with the problems in front of us and stick to our jobs and we get on with it."
