LIVE: Hornet returns for bolstered Power as edgy Dons aim for back-to-back wins

MELBOURNE , AUSTRALIA - JULY 01: Connor Rozee of the Power is tackled by Nic Martin of the Bombers during the round 16 AFL match between Essendon Bombers and Port Adelaide Power at Melbourne Cricket Ground, on July 01, 2023, in Melbourne , Australia . In one of the marquee matches of this year’s Gather Round, Port Adelaide is looking to turn around its form on their home deck with a win over Essendon, who registered its second win of 2024 last week in a nail-biter at Marvel Stadium.

The Power have won two games of their own this season, however where their form truly sits this season is yet to be decided with victories over West Coast and Richmond unable to give a true indication as to where they are in 2024.The Bombers , meanwhile, have claimed victories over Hawthorn and St Kilda, with the latter no doubt their more prized of the two wins so far.

Essendon made just one swap on Thursday night, bringing back midfielder Will Setterfield — who was a late exclusion last Saturday — in place of the injured Sam Durham. The Power, on the other hand, will regain emerging onballer Jason Horne-Francis and burgeoning key forward Mitch Georgiades, who replace Ollie Wines and Francis Evans .Watch it live on Fox Footy from 8pm AEDT, streaming on Kayo or via Hubbl.
