MORNING BRIEFING: Sydney suburbs including Baulkham Hills and Sutherland see alarming rises in domestic violence even though rates are historically low in these areas, according to the Bureau of Crime Statistics.
Over the 24 months to March 2020, several areas of Sydney have seen "concerningly high increases" in domestic violence according to new data from the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research .
Members of the community contacted police to report that the man appeared to be falling asleep at the wheel while driving in the Mortdale area yesterday. Environmental groups were angered when the Government approved an extension of an existing mine before the petition could be considered when Parliament was furloughed during the coronavirus pandemic.
