The referee initially pointed to the penalty spot, but upon VAR review, the decision was overturned after the ball was deemed to have been outside the box.After initial fears the goalkeeper would be given a straight red, his side breathed a sigh of relief after he escaped with a yellow card, leaving Tony Popovic incensed.
Australia currently sit on five points, with a win, two draws and a loss across their four games, with Popovic the man at the helm for the last two fixtures.
