People in the Picton CBD area are being warned to prepare for an evacuation order later today, with the Stonequarry Creek likely to rise in the next few hours. Major flooding is also expected in the Georges River at Liverpool and Milperra this afternoon and in the Upper Nepean River at Menangle tonight.Flooding has closed many roads across the Northern Beaches, with water gushing across Pittwater Road at Dee Water after torrential rain.
