LIVE: Saints confirm MASSIVE late change, await Giant battle at MCG Eliminator
The Saints will host their first final in Melbourne since 2011 after previously playing finals in 2020 in the Covid season and will play their first MCG final since the 2010 Grand Final replay. While the Giants will return to the MCG for their first final since the 2019 decider.The Saints confirmed a massive late change on Saturday morning with key forward Tim Membrey withdrawing with what the club confirmed to be a “personal health matter”.
“Membrey is currently receiving appropriate care and treatment due to a personal health matter” The club said in a statement. “Tim’s health and wellbeing is our primary concern and the Club asks that Tim and Membrey family’s privacy is respected at this time.” Anthony Caminiti will replace Membrey in the starting 22, with the AFL approving the change under the exceptional circumstances clause after Caminiti wasn’t named in the initial squad of 26.Follow St Kilda vs. Carlton in the live blog below!
