Papenhuyzen went to hospital last night and had surgery this morning, and his agent, former Raiders and Maroons fullback Clinton Schifcofske, told ABC Sport "he's in really good spirits". "There was a lot of concern in the sheds … He got some x-rays and the results were really positive, not as bad as first expected. He's had surgery this morning, it went really well.Schifcofske said there were plenty of people in Papenhuyzen's orbit who urged him to just sit out the rest of the year, but he was eager to make his comeback to the NRL as soon as possible after more than a year on the sidelines."He'll take it on.
