Keep The Sheep has raised close to $450,000 since it was founded earlier this year, and is promising to target federal Labor seats in Perth.
Already a subscriber?A founding member of a West Australian group protesting the Albanese government’s sheep export ban will travel to the eastern states next month to rev up national support, and has called on billionaire Gina Rinehart to donate to the campaign.
“It would be nice for someone like a Gina , someone with a bit of interest in cattle, to come on board,” he said. “Corporate donors are always welcome. We’re always open for a big personal sponsor.”Mr Sutherland will travel to Victoria next month to drum up more support after securing more than 75,000 signatures to a petition opposing the ban.
“This is a rural problem, and it’s going to be a huge problem that has implications beyond their realms of thinking at the moment, we’re seeing it now,” he said.
