The Minnesota governor said he had worked hard to protect women’s reproductive rights, after the US Supreme Court repealed the critical Roe v Wade decision, alarming many women around the country. “In Minnesota, we respect our neighbours and the personal choices they make.
” The former school teacher told a heart-warming story about experiencing “the hell that is fertility” with his wife Gwen when they were trying to conceive. “If you’ve never experienced the hell that is infertility, I guarantee you, you know somebody who has, and I can remember praying each night for a phone call, the pitt in your stomach when the phone would ring and the absolute agony when we heard the treatments hadn’t worked.
