Two security alerts are ongoing in Belfast following the separate discoveries of 'suspicious objects'.
Later on Thursday, police said they were called to the Duncairn Gardens area, also in the north of the city, to a report of a suspicious object. The road is closed between Edlingham Street and Upper Mervue Street. In a statement on Thursday, a PSNI spokesman said: "Police are currently in attendance following the discovery of a suspicious object at the Rosehead area of North Belfast this afternoon, Thursday 18th May.A later statement added: "Police are currently in attendance at a security alert in the Duncairn Gardens area of north Belfast.
