Australia's share market is expected to make early gains after Wall Street's major indexes closed higher overnight.
The Albanese government has announced this morning that it's appointed three new members to the Tax Practitioners Board. The TPB is the national body responsible for the regulation of tax practitioners. Simone Carton is currently the CEO of the Law Society of the ACT.
She has more than 25 years’ experience accumulated across a diverse range of legal, governance and operational roles in a variety of sectors including legal, health, advertising, banking, and the arts. Phillip Davies is an experienced lawyer, governance professional and ombudsman who is currently the Tolling Customer Ombudsman and CEO at TCO Limited. He's also the Deputy Chair of the Conduct Review Commission at the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
