Police arrested 67-year-old Zhao Chunli of Half Moon Bay shortly after finding him in his vehicle around 4:40 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of a San Mateo County Sherriff’s Office substation. Four victims were found dead in the 12700 block of San Mateo Road, and three more victims were later discovered at a second site in the 2100 block of Cabrillo Highway South, Corpus said during a news conference. She said Zhao is believed to have acted alone in the shootings.
Both sites are plant nurseries in a rural area, Corpus said, and Zhao was believed to be a worker at one of the locations.
