The group, which is a branch of Iran's military, says it targeted three Israeli military bases in the missile attack.In an earlier statement, the group said it had launched more than 200 missiles towards Israel in response to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. "We'll continue those conversations in the hours ahead. I'm not going to prejudge or get ahead of anything," he said.
He said the US was working with Israeli authorities to assess the impact, and were tracking the reported death of a Palestinian civilian in the occupied West Bank. But the Palestinian civil defence authority in the occupied West Bank said a man was killed near Jericho, and falling rocket debris had caused damage and started fires in the area.
Security sources told the Reuters news agency two separate attacks were carried out, and a high-rise building in the Jnah area was hit. Medics and paramedics provided on-site medical treatment to a number of wounded people with varying degrees of injuries, including some who were unconscious, MDA said.
