As Victorians settle in for a second week in lockdown, Deputy CHO Allen Cheng says it's too early to relax despite steady infection numbers. Follow today's news and updates in our live blog.
Victoria's Deputy CHO Allen Cheng has been speaking out the next steps for the state, saying authorities are encouraged by the numbers recorded but are still cautious.
"I think it's fair to say that, with the passage of time, we get more comfortable with unknown source cases if they haven't transmitted, or there's no hidden transmission going on after one to three weeks." "I think it'd be fair to say, given I think 5 per cent of Victorians have been tested in the last seven days, if there was a big outbreak going on I think we would expect to have picked it up."
