Fans were in hysterics after the surprise
Coronation Street viewers were in hysterics as they made the same comment about Summer Spellman's transformation.
Friday's episode continued to explore the fallout of Paul Foreman's motor neurone disease battle. The whole street was in party mood in celebration of Manchester Pride but the character played by Peter Ash struggled to get into the spirit of the occasion. Paul drowned his sorrows in the park and had a a heart to heart with his former cellmate, David Platt. Meanwhile, the Rovers Return celebrated the occasion in style as members of the street donned fancy dress for Pride.Paul eventually joined the party as he was dragged into the fictional pub by three drag queens. Summer was one of the characters in the pub who had got into the spirit of Pride.
The character transformed into one of the Golden Girls for tonight's special episode. However, the new look confused some fans who said the red wig reminded reminded them of Cilla Black's iconic look.MIchelle added: "I thought Summer was Cilla BlackLewis posted: "Why does Summer look like Cilla Black and not Blanche Devereaux? But a fab ep tonight, love it.
