Liverpool are close to officially signing exciting teenager Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea but the deal hasn't quite been completed yet
Chelsea may not be overly impressed. But Liverpool are edging nearer to officially capturing who they regard as one of the most exciting youngsters in English football. The Reds are in the process of completing the signing of Rio Ngumoha, the England under-16 international who made his breakthrough in the Chelsea U18s earlier last season and has already featured at U21 level in the Premier League Cup.
What, then, does the review involve? The first step that has already been taken is for Liverpool to submit a signed registration form to the Premier League. The second stage involves the governing body appointing an independent third party to conduct a series of interviews with Ngumoha, his parents and representatives from both Liverpool and Chelsea.
