'I am sorry I made mistakes', Liz Truss tells the Commons
. Following the mini-budget which wiped billions off the value of the UK economy, she sacked Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng.He was replaced on Friday by Jeremy Hunt, who just three days into his new role, ripped apart Mr Kwarteng and Ms Truss' economic plans of cutting taxes in order to 'boost growth'. The manner in which he did so has therefore led many to speculate on the Prime Minister's credibility as a leader.
Over on the opposition benches, Labour are continuing to enjoy sky-high polling numbers. Last week's YouGov poll found 51 percent of voters backed Labour, compared to 23 percent supporting the Conservatives. Sir Keir also leads Truss in who voters see as the best leader - with 42 percent, compared to Ms Truss' 13 percent. All in all, today's Prime Minister's Questions are set to be a hugely important moment in political history.
