A local activist criticizes the government's approval of an offshore wind farm project off the NSW south coast, alleging that their concerns regarding environmental impact and community consultation were disregarded.

A local who heckled Prime Minister Anthony Albanese about an offshore wind farm project planned for a NSW south coast community has hit out at Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen. An anti-offshore wind farm campaigner has slammed Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen and Labor, claiming they ignored and failed to listen to the concerns of locals in a NSW south coast community before declaring a site for offshore renewable energy.

Speaking to Sky News host Laura Jayes after the Labor leader left in his car, Mr O'Brien said he and other residents turned up as they were tired of being ignored. The report on offshore wind industry was due to be released on Thursday, but the committee earlier this week granted a one-month extension to March 13.

The anti-offshore wind farm campaigner claimed he reached out to Climate Energy Minister Chris Bowen on multiple occasions but has not received a response. In December he met with Liberal candidate for Gilmore Andrew Constance and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton who promised to scrap the project if he was elected.
