The Antarctic bird was seen on Ocean Beach in Denmark, about 430km south of Perth, on Friday in what is believed to be the furthest north sighting of an emperor penguin

"A malnourished emperor penguin that landed at Ocean Beach in Denmark on Friday 1 November remains in the care of a trained and registered local wildlife carer," a DBCA spokesperson told 9news.com.au."The wildlife carer working to rehabilitate the Antarctic bird, is being supported by a local wildlife officer from DBCA and is receiving ongoing expert advice from the University of Western Australia's Dr Belinda Cannell.
