Loch Lomond Highland Games have been cancelled after funding was removed to plug a £17million council budget gap. Organisers made the 'difficult' decision not to run the games in 2024, which were due to run on July 13, after West Dunbartonshire Council removed £14,000 worth of support. The popular event attracts 9,000 people every year to Moss O' Balloch Park to watch traditional highland sports. Loch Lomond Highland Games is separate from the Luss Games which runs on July 6. Organisers hope that the games will return in 2025 and are seeking 'additional funding'
