Many celebrities take part in the London Marathon every year, but some have found themselves at the centre of controversies and chaos in the past. Let's take a look...

The 2023 London Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, with 40,000 people heading to the capital to complete the famous 26.2 mile course.

Back in 2018, Mo, 40, suffered a blunder in front of cameras when running the race as he picked up a fellow competitors water bottle instead of his own. “I just told them [the safety stewards] to get the staff to be a bit more helpful please. To stop taking pictures and maybe point at my drink and thats what they were doing at the end.

Despite her efforts, Katie quit 15km into the race and her plastic lungs were later found at the side of the road. The Big Brother star admitted she "got bored" during training and only actually completed four training sessions. She required medical assistance half-way around the course, which saw her face criticism at the time.

Georgia, 28, said she hadn't taken part in many training sessions and had been partying just days before, leaving some people sceptical over her impressive marathon time.
