Scientists are now sharing a first look at the data they had collected from adults with long COVID-19, and they found some interesting patterns.

The characteristic loss of smell and taste was top of the list, along with a debilitating fatigue and inability to tolerate any form of exercise.people with long COVID-19, as well as several more surprising symptoms like diminished sexual desire, and a constant feeling of thirst.referring to the symptom of thirst.
PASC stands for Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 Infection and is the term researchers use for long COVID-19. The symptoms are also crucial for later studies that will look for chemical markers in body tissue or fluids which occur during the initial phase of the COVID-19 infection and predict whether a person has a high risk of developing long-COVID down the road.“So it actually helps us from a lot of angles for future studies,” McComsey said.
Those results haven’t all been analyzed yet, but eventually they could help doctors understand not just which symptoms - like frequent thirst - constitute a long COVID-19 diagnosis, but what causes patients to feel thirsty and how to treat it.
