Footage shows the lost mammal diving and resurfacing as it makes its way upstream.The Department of Environment and Science said rangers searched again for the whale on Wednesday but were unable to find it.
They are hopeful it has found its way out of the river, which feeds into Hervey Bay, which is renowned as one of the world's best whale-watching destinations and a declared Whale Heritage Site.The department urged boaties in and around the area to keep a lookout for whales during whale season.You can find out more details about how to book your vaccine
