Melbourne University Publishing has confirmed it will release a revised edition of the ABC journalist's forensic exposé in order to bring readers up to speed on the former Vatican treasurer's arrest through to his conviction.The updated version is due to hit shelves on March 28, just over two weeks after Pell's sentence will be handed down on March 13.
"The book pieces together decades of disturbing activities and cover-ups by Australia's most-powerful Catholic leader, who became Vatican treasurer and adviser to Pope Francis," he said. Late last year a jury found Pell guilty of orally raping one choirboy and molesting another at Melbourne's St Patrick's Cathedral more than 20 years ago. The jury for an earlier trial was discharged after failing to reach a verdict.
