ECHO readers have been sharing their condolences
People have sent 'thoughts and prayers' to a man's family after his body was discovered in a Liverpool park.
Merseyside Police issued a statement this morning, March 13, about the death after officers were present in Woolton Woods and Camp Hill. Emergency tape cordoned off the area around the wooded area in south Liverpool. The incident is being treated as unexplained while enquiries are carried out, but is not initially believed to be suspicious.
After the news was shared on the Liverpool ECHO Facebook page, many shared their sympathies with man who is yet to be formally identified . A second person said: "How awful, that poor man and his family." Another said: "Truly heartbreaking. God rest his soul."A fourth person commented: "This is where I walk my dog every day. This is so sad RIP. Thoughts are with his family."In full, the force's statement read: "At around 7.45am this morning , the body of a man was found in Woolton Woods and Camp Hill, off School Lane. He was sadly pronounced deceased.
