Jarome Luai, a star recruit for Wests Tigers, shares his admiration for his new halves partner, Lachlan Galvin, highlighting his exceptional fitness and talent. Luai recognizes the hype surrounding Galvin and acknowledges the opportunity to learn from and support the young player.
‘Fittest guy I’ve seen bro‘: Luai raves about Tigers prodigy, reveals why he’s ‘got it worse than me’
“He’s everywhere on the field and that doesn’t faze him because he’s so fit, so that’s cool to play alongside but we’ve got a lot of sessions to do and a lot of games to play together so we’ve got a lot of work to do.”“He’s the fittest guy I have seen bro,” Luai said. “But I think with any player you don’t really want to change the way they play. Let them be who they are and how they love to play the game and just as a player myself I want to make other players better, so I hopefully I can do that for Lachy.”
Long-suffering Tigers fans are excited about potentially one of the best halves combinations in the NRL, but Luai pleaded for patience.“I think the best way to build a combination is through playing matches, anyway. “Anything he says to me I’m a sponge to that and he sees the game like we do, so it’s pretty cool to be coached by Benji and I think that relationship is definitely going to grow throughout the year.”“You already know bro. Number one, he was number one, so it’s pretty cool,” Luai said.
