Lucy Letby is pictured looking relaxed and smiling on a hen do in York as she stands on a bridge with colleagues - a day before she took the life of her first victim
Photos have emerged showing killer nurse Lucy Letby smiling with friends on a hen do in York just a day before she murdered her first tiny victim.
In the months that followed, she conducted eerie Facebook searches for their parents. In August, Letby was initially found guilty of murdering seven children and attempting to kill six others, but the jury could not reach a verdict on the attempted murder of a premature girl known as Baby K. However, on Tuesday, a jury convicted her of this count.
At 34, Letby is considered Britain's most prolific baby killer in recent history, having murdered seven babies and attempted to murder seven more between June 2015 and June 2016. Cheshire Police continue to investigate her for potential earlier offences against infants during her nursing career. Mrs Cox isn't the only friend or colleague of Letby who has supported her. Dawn Howe, a long-standing friend, is among those who refuse to accept the jury's verdict that the nurse is a baby killer.
