Former medical director Ian Harvey has been accused of a 'shameful' failure to address their concerns.

Former Countess of Chester Hospital medical director Ian Harvey has been accused of a "shameful" failures.Her murder of seven babies and attempts to kill a further six between June 2015 and June 2016 made her the UK's most prolific child serial killer in modern British history. Mr Scorer said: "Our clients received a series of anodyne letters from Harvey containing no proper explanation or clarification.
"I'm sorry they felt fobbed off. I wanted to give detailed and accurate answers, but this was difficult while the reviews and investigations were taking place. According to reports, Mr Harvey was referred to the General Medical Council in 2018 following allegations he "misled the public in media statements", encouraged "an atmosphere of secrecy and fear" and failed to act "appropriately or in a timely manner" when consultants raised concerns.
"At the conclusion of our investigation, our senior decision makers considered all of the evidence and decided that the case did not reach the threshold for referral to the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service for a hearing."Mr Scorer said his clients were now "very keen" to see a statutory inquiry set up to "compel people like Harvey to come and give evidence and compel the production of documents".
