Latest Liverpool news and gossip as Luis Diaz has been praised by a former Everton player after starring for Colombia during the international break ahead of an Anfield return next week
Former Everton star James Rodriguez has sent a message to Liverpool forward Luis Diaz after he starred for Colombia.
Diaz provided the assist for Munoz's goal, which sealed the win for his country. The goal came after Diaz latched onto a long pass from Rodriguez and beat Spain defender Dani Vivian one-on-one to play a cross into the box that found Munoz, who finished with a volley to score the winner. In response, Rodriguez, who left Everton in 2021 to join Al-Rayyan in Qatar, wrote a three-word message to his compatriot. "Que jugador," he said, which translates to "What a player."
