Northbridge’s largest waterfront estate has hit the market, in an offering set to test the north shore price record with price expectations in the mid-$40 millions, according to local sources.
Set on a 3434-square-metre parcel, the largest single landholding in Northbridge last traded for $21 million in 2017, when ownertook his daughter to court , seeking a declaration that the Northbridge home was held on “constructive trust” for the family holding company, JWH Nominees, or at least the family company had an interest in the home reflecting its “contributions” to the purchase price and renovations. The case was dismissed with the consent of both parties.
While Idelemere has Harbour Bridge and Opera House views, it is on a block less than half the size of Ms Ward’s Northbridge estate.Alon Beran of selling agent Sotheby’s said the Northbridge estate offered “a unique opportunity to have a landholding of this size so close to the city”. The three-level property has been extensively renovated since its 2017 purchase, and features a living space with 3.5-metre ceilings and views across Middle Harbour. It ticks the trophy checklist with pool, gym, gourmet kitchen with butler’s pantry, cellar, lush garden, boat shed and mooring.
