A lane on the M25 will be shut this evening so road resurfacing can take place after “extensive fuel spillage” following a broken down lorry caused hour-long delays.
At 11.43 am today The National Highways Agency announced the spillage took place near junction 25, clockwise that led to two of the three lanes being closed until approximately 1.30pm. The lorry had ruptured its fuel tank and a large amount of it was spilt on lane 1 and the hard shoulder.
