Not good if you're heading towards Lancaster or the Lake District this afternoon
An M6 junction has been closed in both directons after a collision on a major A road, just off J33.
The A6, Preston New Road at Galgate, Lancaster, has been closed due to an accident. The closure stretches from the M6 J33 to The New Inn pub. It is believed a road traffic accident is the reason for the closure. In a statement, Lancashire Police said: "Please be aware of road traffic collision on the A6 Main Rd Galgate. The road is closed from Jct 33 of the M6 heading onto the A6 towards Lancaster the A6 is also closed southbound at Lancaster University towards Jct 33."
