Police say a 25-year-old man was shot by officers after confronting them during a break-in at a Grafton property in northern NSW.
A man has been taken to hospital with stomach wounds after he was shot by police at a property in Grafton on the NSW North Coast.
NSW Police said officers responded to reports of an aggravated break and enter about midday on Tuesday.Police said an officer fired his gun at the man when he allegedly confronted them with a machete. The man sustained injuries to his stomach and arm and has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a crime scene was established and a critical incident team from Northern Region Police District will continue to investigate.
