Machine learning will dominate investments, Greylock's Sarah Guo says at the ForbesCIO Summit. But it won’t be an easy sell

“Step one, before you enter into any kind of conversation about unconventional partnerships, is to circle up with your various partners in the business community and define some constructs that allow you to quickly test new technologies or new capabilities,” advises Angela Yochem, chief digital officer of Novant Health.

Sarah Guo of Greylock Partners, which provides initial capital for startups and has $3.5 billion in assets under management, pointed to the kind of enterprise tech that is going to get a boost from investors. Although this technology will take a large share of investments, Guo noted that implementing machine learning capabilities can create a challenge for large organizations.
