Maddison just knew what Carragher was going to say when replay was brought up

Liverpool and Spurs were at the centre of a VAR storm following the decision to rule out Luis Diaz's goal and Jamie Carragher couldn't resist a pop

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher couldn't resist a replay quip at Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison.

Both Liverpool and Spurs have been embroiled in a bitter row, in light of the VAR controversy that impacted Jurgen Klopp's side when they visited the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The game was overshadowed by a "serious human error" from VAR officials Darren England and Dan Cook which saw Luis Diaz's opener ruled out for the Reds. The Colombian had broke in behind the hosts defence slotting past Vicario but the assistant referee raised his flag immediately.

Carragher was in the Sky Sports studio for their coverage of Monday Night Football. At the end of their interview with Maddison, he couldn't resist a little joke with the former Foxes star.
