Copius of amounts of vegetables laid next to freshly cut slabs of meat, smackings of mashed potatoes and perfectly crisp roasted variants, a couple of Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy - it's almost biblical.
After recruiting three pals to experience the feast together, we booked in and made our way to Madre. It was deeply embarrassing to see how much we were given. Not unwelcome mind you, just embarrassing at how gluttonous my guests and I felt. We had the giggles because the food just never stopped coming. Embarrassment swiftly tossed aside in mere seconds we slowly began to pick through everything. Right out of the gate, the Elote set the standard for what would come. It was juicy, delicious, and had just the right kick from the chipotle.
