According to Radio Times, the series was purchased by the BBC in January 2023, and the massive British media corporation has confirmed it will continue the series with a season 2.
Magpie Murders Season 2 Cast So far, the only two returning cast members that have been confirmed are Lesley Manville as Susan Ryeland and Timothy McMullen as fictional sleuth Atticus Pünd. Other stars like Michael Maloney as publisher Charles Clover and Conleth Hill as the late author Alan Conway have not been confirmed, but their importance to Susan's story make them a necessity in the upcoming season.
Magpie Murders Season 2 Story Details As satisfying as the conclusion of the first season was, it essentially ended the mystery of author Alan Conway's murder, and makes Magpie Murders season 2 a blank slate. Since the show's title will be switching to Moonflower Murders, it can be assumed that the show will follow the plot of Alan Horowitz' sequel novel of the same name which follows Susan as she investigates the disappearance of a hotel employee while living in Crete.
