After three years of renovations at a cost of nearly $85 million, Maine East High School in Park Ridge has new plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems and streamlined spaces.
After three years of renovations at Maine East High School, the library now opens onto a wide staircase and is accessible from the school's Center Court, which groups together a range of student services. The school spent almost $85 million on renovations, which were finished in the summer.
Principal Melissa Pikul said grouping these services together allows students to visit them without having to walk extensive distances within the large building. District 207 remodeled its high schools after a 2018 referendum.
After renovations that took three years and cost approximately $85 million, Maine East High School in Park Ridge has a culinary arts rooms in its Career and Technical Education wing. The school is part of Maine Township High School District 207.The renovation provided modernized spaces in a new Experiental Wing featuring career and technical education classes. The classrooms feature big windows to show off what goes inside, which is intentional, Clark said, to pique students’ interest.
After Maine East High School underwent renovations that were completed this past summer, a science room has drop-down electrical access and movable desks.
