A woman who allegedly used a pram to steal from a Gold Coast Supercheap Auto store, resulting in the worker who confronted her being stood down and later resigning, has been charged. 7NEWS

“A male employee confronted the woman outside the store and retrieved the stolen items, before the woman fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.”She is due to face court on two counts of stealing and one charge of fraud later this month. The confrontation led Supercheap Auto’s parent company, Super Retail Group, to stand its employee down as the retailer conducted a review. It was later revealed the worker had taken a job with Autobarn Burleigh Heads.
