Wild weather has led to major flash flooding across Perth, inundating roads, businesses, and homes with almost 700 calls made to the state’s emergency services last night.
The city saw nearly 40 millimetres of rain recorded in just 30 minutes, with Kings Park in the CBD collecting 51.2 millimetres.
Severe flash flooding submerged cars and caused commuter chaos, while residents reported water in homes and roof damage.Authorities are pleading with people not to drive through floodwaters. The severe weather is set to ease over the weekend ahead of what’s expected to be this year’s strongest cold front forecast for Monday.
