Also summoned to the scene were the fast rescue craft from the Calmac Ferry, Isle of Arran, Arran RNLI lifeboat, two Coastguard helicopters and an RAF Poseidon aircraft.
The Troon RNLI Lifeboat crew were summoned to a major incident yesterday after two vessels collided on the waters between Troon and Arran.
Also tasked were the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team, two Senior Coastal Operations Officers, officers from Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
