Locals in a ritzy Sydney suburb have been given a scare after a major police operation shut down a residential street.
A street in a ritzy suburb on Sydney 's lower north shore suburb has reopened after being shut down earlier on Tuesday morning due to a major police operation.It has not yet been reported what sparked the operation, but NSW Police and specialist officers executed a firearms prohibition order at a home on the street.

Picture: Mosman Collective NSW Police confirmed an 18-year-old male and another man had been spoken to, but no arrests have been made at this stage, as inquiries remain ongoing.The road has since been reopened after closing down during the operation.
Residents told the Mosman Collective a megaphone was used by police while they also witnessed officers holding rifles enter the home."When the Riot Squad van turned up we were very alarmed, and police had a loud hailer they were using to warn the man they were coming for him," a local said.
