Royal officials are 'working against the clock' to pull together a line-up for King Charles' coronation concert after more A-lister celebrities turned down the chance to perform at the Windsor Castle event.
British icons Elton John, Harry Styles and the Spice Girls were asked to perform at the King's Windsor Castle concert on May 7, following the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
According to The Sun, one royal source confirmed organisers for the coronation concert were"working against the clock to pull together an exciting line-up but have hit a series of challenges." Sir Elton's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour will make waves through Great Britain and neighboring European countries next month including Ireland, Germany and Spain.
“Man-of-the-moment Harry Styles is also tied up with touring and unable to get key band members together as they’ll be on much-needed downtime,” the source added. The Spice Girls have reportedly turned down the chance to perform at the King's historic concert despite earlier speculation that the pop group would reunite for the event. “Certainly, the reality is that the coronation is as special as The Olympics - a one off celebration and unique performance."
