The Albanese government has delivered a major warning about dodgy business practices targeting Aussies looking to transform themselves with an ambitious new year’s resolution in 2025.
Aussies looking to invest in their new year's resolution have been given a major warning from the government about dodgy business practices .
Assistant Treasurer and Financial Services Minister Stephen Jones said there had been a rise in the use of these tactics, leading Labor to look at a crackdown on them. “It is frankly un-Australian for businesses to engage in this kind of tricky behaviour and our government says enough is enough,” he said in a press release on Thursday.
That legislation was announced last year and the government has since said it is working through stakeholder feedback for how to implement changes.
