Man arrested as baby dies in hospital after falling ill at house
A MAN has been arrested after a baby fell ill at a house and was rushed to hospital where it tragically died.A man has been arrested after a baby died in hospitalLeicestershire Police said at the time that officers were supporting "other agencies" and that the unwell child had been taken to hospital for treatment.
The infant, whose age and sex have not been confirmed, was subsequently taken to hospital and the force have now confirmed that the child has passed away. A 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm or death has been released on police bail.Officers have urged people not to speculate.
