According to information by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man who died has been identified as Eric Ray of the 200 block of Seneca Way in Bolingbrook.
A 59-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in Chatham Monday night, according to police.
The man was crossing the street in the 400 block of East 79th Street around 9:20 p.m. when he was hit by the driver of a gray SUV that was traveling west on East 79th Street.The driver fled the scene, going west, and has not been arrested. Paramedics transported the 59-year-old to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:47 p.m.
